Fundraising and volunteering news from the Donor Strategy team
As we work with so many outstanding causes, our policy is to encourage Payroll Giving, which we match fund substantially. We also encourage team members to fundraise for charities that relate to their lives. This also helps the team understand the work of our clients.
We have Gold Payroll Giving status and in the financial year of 2007/08 we donated £4,401.50. The team are also offered the flexibility to volunteer at charities. Our Managing Director also regularly visits Kenya and supports a school project there and other Christian projects.
If you are a client of Donor Strategy we can display fundraising leaflets in our team area. A client area on our website to promote client fundraising activity is also planned.
Lastly, it is our policy to send team members and new starters, who have not joined from the third sector, on the Institute of Fundraising’s Introduction to Fundraising course. This further enhances their understanding of the work of our clients.
